Hi,

After selecting a solution for import and during the "Extracting Solution Content" stage, I am getting the following message: Error: the specified path, filename, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

Other solutions in the same organization are importing correctly.

I tried connecting to an IFD solution but got this error:
"Error while retrieving organizations : Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'https://disc.XXXXX.dk:5555/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl'.

The remote name could not be resolved: 'disc.XXXXX.dk'"

i was connecting to an organization named "mastertest.XXXXX.dk"

Windows Identity framework is installed on my computer.

Hope this helps finding a solution, since this is a great tool and I have used it gladly on on-prem solutions so far.

I'm using Win 7. Can't import solution because fully-qualified PluginAssemblies\[sub]\[sub]\[sub]\[file] directory will exceed 260 characters length (no, it doesn't get fixed by moving application to root). I know this have been discussed before, but is it possible for you to make a workaround for this, or do I need to temporary disable/remove plugins from my solution?

TabCommand is a required attribute for a TabDisplayRule.
The Ribbon XML works when manually editing it and adding the TabCommand.
Opening the tool to edit the ribbon removes this attribute and I cannot upload anymore.

Run the latest version 262 on MS Partner VM Machine. (Moved the editor to root directory to avoid log path error).
Load the contoso organizations , after getting the element list , I clicked on each one of them to see what the have.
Some of them (Process , Currency , E-Mail Template, Queue,Contract Template ) had error :
An error occured: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

It was in C:\CRM 2011\Tools\RibbonEditor when I move it to C:\RibbonEditor its worked.

For the length error message, it is because the tool is stored in too much subfolders, and the unzip operation can't happen due to the length of the path
